Adding Title and Credits.

Back on the “Home” tab it’s possible to add both titles and a credit scene to your movie, as shown below.

Clicking on any of these buttons will add the additional scene to the timeline, and open up a whole host more presets for titles and credits, as shown below with a title scene:

You can edit the text in all of these scenes by either clicking in the preview window, or clicking the text underneath the frame in the timeline.  You can also move the text within the frame and extend the duration it is shown for, all with drag-and-drop.

Adding Music

Still on the “Home” pane, you can click on the “Add Music” button to add a soundtrack to your video, either from the current point in the video or to the whole movie.

You need to be careful with copyright law; you can add any MP3 or WMA music file on your computer, but if you plan to publish the video then you can’t add copyrighted music.

It’s very simple to add the music, just select a music file and click ok, it’ll be added to the project:

Saving Your Movie

Once your comfortable that your movie is just how you want it, you can save it in a variety of different formats and sizes.

If you hover over the different file types it will tell you the details of the resolution and give an indication of file size for your movie.  Once you’re happy with the file type, click “Save” and your movie will be saved to your computers hard disk.

This will likely take some time, depending on the length of the movie and the speed of your computer.

Publishing Your Video.

Using Live Movie Maker you can also upload your video automatically to your Facebook page and to your Youtube channel.  These options are shown on the Home tab of movie maker.

The first time you do this you’ll need to provide the login details for your accounts, but after this they will be associated with your Windows Live account, so you won’t need to provide them again.
