Q&A: How can I Take Screenshots on a Mac Running Windows

I’m guessing from your question that you’re using an Apple keyboard, either on a Macbook or on an Apple desktop machine, in which case you’re missing the “Print Screen” key that you find on standard PC keyboards.

If this is the case then you have two options:

 

1)  Plug in a USB keyboard (PC) which does have a “Print Screen” key, and then use that key.

2)  Use the “On-Screen Keyboard” found within Windows.

 

To do the latter, open the start menu and type “on screen keyboard” into the search field, the keyboard app should appear in the list fairly early on.  Open this and you’ll be presented with an on-screen keyboard (funnily enough) which you can use to input text using your mouse.  To the right of this keyboard is a print screen key (see below) which you can use to make screenshots.
